Sunrise Bagel: Best Bagels & Breakfast Sandwiches in Oakland, ME

St Viateur, kiss my tuchus! This is THE place to go for excellent bagels! Forget Montreal, don't even bother with New York, go to Oakland ME instead and be wowed! We ended up getting 9 bagels here - 3 for breakfast and then 6 for home because they were just THAT GOOD. We had the cheddar, the maple heat, and the Zaatar. All were excellent: crispy on the outside but not so much they hurt your gums, and delightfully chewy - as a bagel should be! The quality of the ingredients shows, and the breakfast sandwich was scrumptious. It was so delicious I didn't even have time to photograph it - down the hatch it went! Don't forget to get some cream cheese - the pumpkin one was a delight (and I'm normally not a fan of pumpkin anything but my husband is a PSL slave from Sept - Nov so we had to try it). The coffees we're great too: I got mine remade because something was off and they were so kind about it. Customer service is exceptional. Even the bathroom is pretty! This place is going down in the books!

My husband and I love Sunrise Bagel so much! I am so glad to have this option in Oakland- it brings so much life to the town. The staff is so nice, the bagels are SO good (gotta try the egg bagels), and the other baked goods are UNREAL. We’ve had a weekly bagel/coffee date there since it opened. We also love that they sell day-old bagels and like to keep a stash in our freezer. Definitely worth it. GET A SLICE OF CAKE, TOO!!!

Stopped here for breakfast while on the road. They have excellent gluten free bagels (I had plain, but they also had everything and cinnamon raisin). Hot chocolate was good too. The inside of the shop/bathroom was clean and decorated nicely. Good service. Impeccable vibes all around.

My all meat breakfast sandwich was super delicious. The asiago Bagel was made to perfection and freash. Coffee was super freash and delicious.

The best bagels in Central Maine. Many great flavor options, great sandwiches with fresh eggs, cheese, meats. Don't think what Dunkin is serving is a bagel sandwich... Try Sunrise and see the error in your thinking.

The food is great. The atmosphere is great. It feels very homey wait times are long.

Really awesome local spot. You walk in and the vibes are 10/10. I love the decor it’s chicken themed! We sat by the window and enjoyed delicious bagels. My boyfriend got “The Quarry” for $9.00 on a poppy bagel which is a great vegan option: it’s Hummus, Green pepper, baby spinach, tomato, and onion on a bagel of your choice.. in sandwich form, so it’s two bagels. And more Vegan/vegetarian options are available. I got the Cinnamon Raisin Bagel toasted, which was $2.70, with regular cream cheese which was $1.30. Everything is fresh!! You need to try the strawberry lemonade that they make there, it’s the best lemonade that I’ve ever had hands-down!! They were $4.25 each. Super friendly customer service. Definitely want to return here.

Their menu is good and they have great pastries and coffee! I wish they had turkey sausage for their breakfast sandwich as their vegetarian one is very mushy and not the best. They have a great selection of bagels, though and I absolutely love the za'atar one!
